iQOO is poised to make a splash in the smartphone market with its upcoming iQOO 12 series, which will feature the recently released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. As excitement builds, promotional images and leaks have provided us with a sneak peek at what we can expect from these devices.
Design Revealed in Leaked Promotional Images
The latest leak reveals a significant design change for the iQOO 12. The rear camera module adopts a unique squircle shape, adding a distinctive touch to the phone's appearance. Furthermore, the device showcases curved edges on its back panel, offering a sleek and ergonomic design.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the design is iQOO's continued partnership with BMW, as seen by the presence of the BMW logo and the tagline 'Fascination Meets Innovation.' An infrared sensor is also visible at the top of the device.
Camera and Zoom Capabilities
Camera enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the iQOO 12 series boasts impressive camera capabilities. The triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera powered by the Omnivision OV50H sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens featuring the ISOCELL JN1 sensor, and a 64MP periscope lens offering 3X optical zoom, equipped with the OV64GB sensor.

Notably, leaks suggest that the iQOO 12 could offer a remarkable 100X digital zoom. It's even suggested that this device could capture detailed images of the moon like the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Battery and Charging
Previously, there were high expectations for 200W fast charging; however, reports indicate that iQOO might opt for a larger 6000mAh battery with 120W fast charging instead. This adjustment aims to balance battery capacity and fast charging, ensuring a practical and efficient experience.
Performance and Gaming Enhancements
The iQOO 12 series is set to offer a 6.7-inch E7 AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate, providing users with a stunning and smooth display. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it guarantees top-tier performance.

Notably, these devices will include an independent display gaming chip Q1, enhancing gaming performance.
Expected Launch Date and Availability
The iQOO 12 series is scheduled to launch in China on November 7. Excitingly, the company has also confirmed its plans to bring the iQOO 12 series to India, expected to debut by the end of November or early December.
