iQOO 13 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip Releasing on October 30: India Launch Officially Teased

Vivo has confirmed the launch of the iQOO 13 in China. The company has been teasing details about the iQOO 13 for a while now but has only just provided an official launch date for the handset. Moreover, the brand also confirmed the launch of the iQOO 13 in India.

The news comes following the recent Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit, which saw the launch of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This will make the iQOO 13 one of the first smartphones to use the new Snapdragon chip.

iQOO 13 Launch Date, India Release Confirmed

The iQOO 13 launch date in China is set for October 30 at 04:00 pm local time or 01:30 pm IST. Following the launch, the iQOO 13 will likely make its way to India by the end of November or start of December.

It is the second Snapdragon 8 Elite phone teased in India, following the Realme GT 7 Pro. The company has also confirmed that the iQOO 13 will be sold via Amazon India and iQOO India's online store after its launch in the country.

iQOO 13 Design, Colours

The iQOO 13 is shown in Isle of Man, White Legendary Edition, Black Racetrack, and Gray colour options. The design of the iQOO 13 appears to be similar to that of its predecessor, although the former adopts a halo light on the camera island that surrounds the three camera lenses.

The iQOO 13 also appears to have a flat frame with a speaker grille on the top, while power and volume buttons sit on the right. The iQOO logo is visible on the bottom of the rear panel, while the white model features the iconic BMW Motorsport branding.

iQOO 13 Specifications Confirmed

The iQOO 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Vivo's VP, Jia Jingdong, revealed that the iQOO 13 will feature multi-layer graphene and a 7K ultra-large area VC cooling system. Moreover, the iQOO 13 will also run on the latest OriginOS 5.

The iQOO 13 is also powered by a self-developed Q2 gaming chip, enabling PC-level 2K texture super-resolution and native 144fps gaming. iQOO recently confirmed that its upcoming flagship will pack a massive 6,150 mAh silicon carbon battery, while dropping in weight compared to the iQOO 12. Moreover, the iQOO 13 will also support 120W wired fast charging.

The iQOO 13 is also confirmed to feature a 6.82-inch 2K Q10 Everest display, co-developed with BOE, offering 144Hz refresh rate, superior brightness, and color accuracy while reducing power consumption. It also debuts the world's first OLED circularly polarized light eye protection technology, minimizing eye strain during extended use.
