iQOO 15 Confirmed With Wireless Charging, IP68/IP69 Rating, and New Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner

The iQOO 15 is inching closer to launch in China, and the company has confirmed a fresh round of details about its upcoming flagship. This model is set to bring upgrades that iQOO hasn’t offered before, particularly in durability and charging.

IP68 and IP69 Protection

iQOO revealed that the phone will carry both IP68 and IP69 certifications. The dual rating means protection against dust, submersion in water, and even high-pressure water jets. For a performance-focused brand like iQOO, this added durability marks a meaningful step forward.

Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner With Wet Touch

The iQOO 15 will also introduce a new generation ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Beyond being faster, it can now recognize fingerprints even with wet fingers. It’s a small upgrade, but one that solves a real annoyance for users.

Wireless Charging and a Bigger Battery

For the first time in the lineup, iQOO’s flagship will support wireless charging. The company has teased a battery larger than 7,000mAh, along with its Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 tech that’s meant to reduce heat and extend battery health during gaming or streaming while plugged in.

Power and Display Specs

The iQOO 15 is already confirmed to ship with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung LTPO AMOLED “Everest” display. The screen runs at 144Hz, supports 3,200Hz touch response, and can hit up to 6,000 nits peak brightness in certain scenarios.
