iQOO Neo 8 to Get MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, Other Key Specifications Leaked

The iQOO Neo 7 launched in India only recently, and now there's word that its successor, the iQOO Neo 8, is in the works. According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the Neo 8 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. Here's everything we know about the upcoming smartphone.

iQOO Neo 8 Leaked Features

The tipster claims the iQOO Neo 8 will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. As the name suggests, the upcoming processor is said to be an enhanced version of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset.

Rumors suggest that the Dimensity 9200+ will be similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The new 9200+ chipset could have an increased CPU frequency. It is reported that the processor is manufactured on TSMC's second-gen 4nm process.

The tipster adds that the iQOO Neo 8 will support up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

The iQOO Neo 8 will likely go up against the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra, rumored to launch in global markets in the third quarter of this year.

According to Digital Chat station, the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor will likely launch in the second half of 2023. We can expect the iQOO Neo 8 to arrive soon after.

iQOO Neo 7 5G Recap

The iQOO Neo 7 5G, launched in India a few weeks back, features an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC manufactured on the 4nm process. It is accompanied by a Mali-G610 GPU. The smartphone supports up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen has a maximum brightness of 1300 nits.

The iQOO Neo 7 boots Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box. As for imaging, the handset features a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 64MP main camera.
