iQOO Z9 Turbo Launch Confirmed for April 2024: Key Specifications Revealed Ahead of Time

iQOO is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone in China soon. The iQOO Z9 Turbo is set to make its debut this month and was recently teased by Jia Jingdong, VP of Branding at Vivo.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo arrives as the second smartphone in the Z series, following the launch of the iQOO Z9 5G. In a lengthy post on Weibo Jia shared multiple details about the upcoming iQOO Z9 Turbo.

iQOO Z9 Turbo Launch: What we know so far!

The iQOO Z9 Turbo will be the first smartphone from the brand to use the recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Accompanying the chipset will be a new and improved cooling system to improve peak sustained performance.

The powerful Snapdragon 8 series chip coupled with the improved cooling will allow the upcoming iQOO Z9 Turbo to run "most games" at 120fps, says Jia. Moreover, to ensure smooth visuals, the iQOO Z9 Turbo will also sport a 144Hz display.

Jia didn't mention the display technology, but it will likely use an OLED screen. Additionally, to promote long hours of gaming and entertainment, the iQOO Z9 Turbo will also pack a massive 6,000 mAh battery.

iQOO Z9 Turbo Speculation

As of now, there is no information on charging speed. However, given the phone's 'Turbo' branding, we expect the Z9 Turbo to offer at least 120W wired fast charging support. The poster showcases the iQOO Z9 Turbo in a white finish.

Moreover, the back panel has a dual-camera setup on the top right. There is no mention of the two sensors used, but we do know the main camera will support OIS.
