iQOO is launching yet another smartphone in its Z series next week. The arrival of the iQOO Z9x 5G follows the recent launch of the iQOO Z9 5G in India, which sits in the country's sub-20K segment.

To recall, the iQOO Z9x 5G made its debut in China last month alongside the iQOO Z9 Turbo. Ahead of the launch, iQOO has also revealed several specifications of the Z9x 5G. But before we dive into the specifications, let's look at some launch details.

The iQOO Z9x 5G launch date in India is set for May 16 at 12 noon IST. Following the launch, the iQOO Z9x 5G will go on sale in India through e-commerce giant Amazon, where a dedicated listing for the phone has already gone live.

The iQOO Z9x 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which the brand claims can achieve an overall AnTuTu score upwards of 560K. Moreover, the handset will come with at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB) via a microSD card.

The iQOO Z9x 5G will also debut as the slimmest smartphone with a 6,000 mAh battery. The phone is also confirmed to support 44W wired fast charging. The handset is also touted to come with a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also packs stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification.

For optics, the brand has confirmed the iQOO Z9x 5G will feature a 50 MP primary camera sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. Up front, there will likely be an 8 MP selfie camera. The phone is also teased to feature an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water.

The iQOO Z9x will run Android 14 out of the box with Funtouch OS 14 on top. iQOO promises two major Android OS updates and three years of regular security patches with the Z9x 5G. Based on specifications alone, the iQOO Z9x 5G appears to be a rebranded version of the Vivo T3x 5G, which arrived in India back in April.
