iVoomi i1 And i1s with 18:9 display listed online for Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999

China-based iVoomi has been teasing the launch of two new smartphones in India since the past few weeks. While the launch is slated to happen tomorrow, these smartphones have been listed on Flipkart.

According to the listing on Flipkart, the iVoomi i1 and iVoomi i1S are the smartphones those will be launched tomorrow. Both the smartphones are likely to arrive with full-screen design featuring 18:9 display and dual cameras at the rear. Despite these highlights, the iVoomi smartphones are expected to carry budget price points as these are listed for Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999 respectively.

The iVoomi i1 and i1S will be exclusive to the online retailer Flipkart and will go on sale from tomorrow. The smartphones are likely to be launched in two color variants - Jade Black and Platinum Gold.

Talking about the specifications, the iVoomi i1 and iVoomi i1S will arrive with a full-screen design featuring 18:9 aspect ratio display that is a rare feature seen in the affordable market segment. Only a handful of devices in the sub-Rs. 10,000 price bracket have such a design. Both the smartphones have a similar display measuring 5.45 inches and carry HD+ 1440 x 720 pixel resolution.

Under the hood, both the iVoomi smartphones make use of a MediaTek MT6737m chipset but they differ in terms of RAM and storage. The iVoomi i1 has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while the i1S has 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage space. Both the smartphones support up to 128GB additional storage with the help of a microSD card.

In addition to the full-screen design language, the dual camera setup at the rear is another highlight of these budget smartphones. Both the devices have a 13MP primary RGB sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor to capture the depth of field information. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera on both the iVoomi smartphones.

Given that there is a full-screen design, there is no home button at the front and the fingerprint sensor is positioned at the rear. The other goodies on board these devices are Android 7.0 Nougat, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a micro USB port and dual SIM support. The battery capacity of these smartphones is similar at 3000mAh.
