Karbonn has rolled out invites for an event scheduled to happen in Delhi, on August 5. The domestic smartphone company is all set to launch a new budget smartphone that will be exclusively available on Amazon India.

Karbonn to launch a budget smartphone on August 5

The invite hints ‘simplicity' as the key feature of the phone, and mentions ‘celebrate simplicity with Karbonn.' The company has not given out details of the smartphone that will be unveiled at the event, and it is yet to be decoded that what exactly the keyword means in context to the invite.

As for the features and spec, there is nothing much known about the device except that this will be Karbonn's yet another camera-centric smartphone. The company has also put up teaser picture of the phone on social networks, with hashtags such as #UnleashColors #UnleashYourTrueSelf. The teaser also says that ‘Life has millions of colors, capture them all' indicating a higher megapixel camera. The teaser photos also suggest that the front camera on the phone will be paired with Flash.

Recently, many smartphone companies came up with budget smartphones with camera-specific features. The Karbonn's upcoming smartphone will be yet another phone to join in the league.

As for other features, the phone will come with Swiftkey pre-loaded on it, and is expected to bring specs that are now standard for budget smartphones.

Last month, Karbonn launched Titanium Mach One Plus smartphone in a partnership with Swiftkey. Under this partnership, Karbonn offered the phone with an updated version of SwiftKey that has support for 22 Indian languages. The phone was launched for Rs 6,990 in India.
