Lava Blaze 5G New 6GB RAM Variant Teased In India; Price Leaked

Lava introduced its Blaze 5G smartphone in the Indian market last November. Touted India's cheapest 5G-ready smartphone, it was offered only in a single 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option to keep costs low. Now, the brand has posted a teaser on its Twitter account confirming that a 6GB RAM variant of the Blaze 5G will launch in India soon.

Lava Blaze 5G New Variant: Expected Price

A new report suggests that the Lava Blaze 5G with 6GB RAM will be priced under ₹13,000 in India. Since the 4GB RAM variant is currently priced at ₹10,999, we can expect the 6G variant to be priced around ₹12,500. However, it is unclear whether it will pack in 128GB storage or offer larger storage space.

Lava Blaze 5G: Features, Specifications

The Lava Blaze 5G comes with a flat rear panel and flat sides. It is provided with a camera island that houses triple rear cameras. The device sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ display resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and Widevine L1 certification. The display gets a waterdrop notch, which houses the selfie camera.

The Lava Blaze 5G is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset built on the 7nm fabrication process. For the camera, the device is equipped with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor coupled with a 2MP macro camera and a VGA sensor. Selfies and video calls are handled by an 8MP sensor at the front.

Other noteworthy features of the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5G, dual SIM, microSD card support up to 1TB, virtual RAM expansion, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The handset is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

The new 6GB variant can be expected to feature similar specifications as the 5G variant. However, one can expect the smartphone experience to be smoother owing to the high RAM capacity.
