Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 smartphones launched at Rs 4,249 and Rs 4,899
Home-grown brand Lava has now added two new smartphones to their Iris series. Dubbed the Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 the smartphone comes with low end specification at a budget price tag.
The Lava Iris Atom, the cheaper of the duo comes with a 4 inch WVGA (800x480p) display. Under the hood the budget Lava smartphone dons a 1.3GHz quad core SoC and 512MB of RAM. Besides that the Iris Atom features 8GB of internal storage along with a slot for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot.

In terms of camera the Lava Iris smartphone packs a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and VGA front camera. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and is powered by a 1550mAH battery on the inside. Connectivity features includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G support.
The Lava Iris Atom 3 on the other hand packs a larger 5 inch FWVGA (854x480p) display. The rest of the internal including the processor and the RAM however remain the same. The minor difference however lies in the fact that the smartphone sports a 2MP front camera as compared to the VGA seen in the lower priced model. Just like the Iris Atom, this smartphone too runs on Android Lollipop 5.1. However it's worth noting that the smartphone is powered by a larger 2000mAH battery.

The Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 smartphones are priced at Rs 4,249 and Rs 4,899 respectively. Both the smartphones are available in two colour variants namely White and Black. The Lava Iris smartphone will soon go on sale via various offline retail stores across India as well as via e-commerce platforms.
