Lava Prime X feature phone launched for Rs. 1,499
Lava has come up with its first designed and made in India feature phone.
In the era of smartphones, Lava has come up with a feature phone priced at Rs. 1,499. Well, the company has announced the launch of the Lava Prime X that carries the credits for being the first handset to be designed and made in India. The company is yet to reveal the availability details of this feature phone and its other features.
The company goes on stating that the Prime X feature phone will have a battery life of 17 days of standby time. Also, the company will provide two years of replacement warranty for the buyers of the device.
It looks like Lava, a well-known India-based mobile phone manufacturer is all set to create a buzz in the country's mobile market segment. We say so as it has the company claims that it aims to launch the first 'Designed in India' smartphone by October this year. Also, the entire range of mobiles launched by the company by 2021 will be made in India. Notably, Lava set up its design center in Noida in 2016 and the team received training for over a year in China on various aspects such as industrial, mechanical, software and hardware design.
Besides this, Lava is also one of the partners to have joined with Google in order to come up with Android Go (Oreo edition) smartphones. These smartphones will be entry-level devices featuring 1GB or lesser RAM. Also, the Android Go smartphones will be pre-loaded with Go edition apps such as YouTube, Maps and more. Basically, these apps are lighter versions of the original apps and will be more relevant for the first time buyers.
Given that the feature phones are taking shape in the Indian market with the launch of the Reliance JioPhone, the Lava Prime X might be successful provided it comes with the cashback offers just like the Micromax Bharat 1. Let's wait for more details from the company to know how exactly this feature phone from Lava will make a difference from the rest those exist in the market.
