Lava X50+ With 4G VoLTE is Priced at Rs. 9,199: Can It Compete Against Xiaomi Redmi Note 3?

While the Indian smartphone market has witnessed the launch of a slew latest market entrants in the past two days. Now, Lava has also hit the headlines with the launch of a new smartphone called Lava X50+ price at Rs. 9,199.

Lava X50+'s availability is yet to be announced by the company and the price was spotted on the official website of the manufacturer. The phone appears to feature a metallic body along with a curved back. It also features a non-conductive coating technology.

The best thing about the Lava X50+ is that the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE that makes it compatible with the Reliance Jio SIM that is the recent rage among smartphone users. Otherwise, when it comes to specs, the smartphone is pretty average.

The Lava X50+ is listed to boast a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS On-Cell display and employ a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded up to another 32GB. The listing further reveals the presence of an 8MP main snapper onboard the smartphone with auto-focus and LED flash. Other specs include a 5MP front-facer with LED flash and a 2,800mAh battery with a Power Saver mode too.

Connectivity features of the Lava X50+ include 4G VoLTE on both SIM cards and Bluetooth 4.0. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the smartphone comes packed with 12 Indian languages and features such as time lapse video, smart gestures, flip to mute and more.

This Lava smartphone will compete with the Redmi Note 3 when it comes to pricing as the latter is priced at Rs. 9,999. However, for the price you pay, you will get impressive specs like FHD 1080p display of 5.5 inches, hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, 2GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB with the Redmi Note 3.

In all the aspects, the Redmi Note 3 seems to be better as the Xiaomi device comes with a 16MP rear snapper, a 5MP selfie shooter, a juicier 4,050mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor as well. Eventually, when it comes to pricing and other aspects, the Lava X50+ might not be an attractive offering.
