Lava Z50 Android Go smartphone launched in India: How to get it at Rs. 2,400
The first Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphones comes to India.
While many Android Go smartphones were announced at the MWC 2018 tech show, Lava Z50 is the first one to be launched in India. The Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone is priced at Rs. 4,400. Google and Airtel have joined hands to bring the Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphones to the country under Airtel's Mera Pehla Smartphone program offering Rs. 2,000 cashback. Eventually, the Lava Z50 is available at an effective price of Rs. 2,400.
Besides the Android Go for a smooth performance, the Lava Z50 has an LED flash at the front and rear and Bokeh mode as well. The smartphone offers search in 10 major Indian regional languages. Also, it enables search for weather, images, etc. and translates from the search home screen.
On the specifications front, the Lava Z50 bestows a 4.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Under its hood, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor paired with Adreno 304 GPU. This processor is paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB default memory capacity, which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Running Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), the smartphone comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and another 5MP camera at the front also with LED flash. There is support for dual SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone gets the power from a 2000mAh battery operating under its hood.
The Lava Z50 has been launched in Black and Gold color variants. It can be purchased via Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal and also from over 100,000 retail stores across the country. The device comes with 2 years of warranty.
Given that the smartphone is pretty affordable with Rs. 4,400 pricing, it is even more attractive for the first time smartphone buyers as there is Rs. 2,000 cashback on the same from Airtel.
