The anticipation around the iPhone 16 series has reached new heights, with recent leaks offering a glimpse into what could be in store for Apple enthusiasts. The series, comprising the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, is rumored to sport a novel vertically aligned rear camera setup, echoing designs from previous models yet promising innovative capabilities like spatial video recording.

Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro variants are expected to dazzle with a polished titanium finish, marking a significant aesthetic shift from the brushed appearance of their predecessors.

iPhone 16's New Vertical Camera Design

Recent leaks on X (formerly Twitter) by user Sonny Dickson have circulated images of iPhone 16 cases, hinting at a vertical camera alignment. This design choice, while reminiscent of the iPhone X, aims to introduce spatial video recording to the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models—a feature currently exclusive to the higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as the Apple Vision Pro.

The leaked images show two separate camera rings for the Wide and Ultra Wide cameras within a pill-shaped bump, with the camera flash and microphone positioned strategically for optimal function.

Another intriguing addition is the Action Button, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models, now expected across the entire iPhone 16 lineup. A new Capture button, designed to facilitate easy shooting of horizontal videos, is also rumored to be part of the design, integrating seamlessly with the phone's frame.

iPhone 16 Pro's New Titanium Finish

Set to release in 2024, the iPhone 16 Pro models are rumored to feature a polished titanium finish, a departure from the brushed look of the current iPhone 15 Pro models. This new finish is expected to offer a glossy appearance akin to the polished stainless steel of earlier Pro models, yet with enhanced scratch resistance. The use of titanium not only presents an aesthetic upgrade but also contributes to lighter device weight and improved heat dissipation, compared to the stainless steel frames of previous models.

Leaks suggest the iPhone 16 Pro will be available in two colors: "Space Black" and "Rose" Titanium. The "Space Black" variant is said to replace the current "Black Titanium" finish, while "Rose" introduces a new shade resembling gold, a color notably absent in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup.
