Lenovo Vibe K5 to be sold via open Sale, starting June 4: More details here

Earlier this month, Lenovo unveiled the Vibe K5 smartphone for a price of Rs 6,999 in India. Lenovo Vibe K5 is the smaller version of the Vibe K5 Plus. It was introduced with a flash sale model via Amazon India, in which it sold 100,000 units in total in the last two flash sales, as per company claims. The company has now changed its sales model and will be selling Vibe K5 smartphone via open sale starting July 4, and the good part is that there will not be any registrations required for purchasing the phone.

Those interested in buying the phone can go the site and simply buy the phone following simple steps. The phone will be available starting July 4 in open sale, until the stocks lasts. However, Lenovo is not offering VR headset under the sale.

Design and Display:

The Vibe K5 is a budget smartphone that brings feature to cater to this price segment. It has a plastic body design that with standard keys, microUSB port and audio jack placed on the sides of the phone. As for its display, the Vibe K5 features a 5-inch HD screen offering 1280x720 pixels resolution.

Processor and storage:

The phone is powered by a 64bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded using microSD.

Camera:

Speaking of the camera, Lenovo's budget smartphone flaunts a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The rear camera is paired with flash and is supported with editing tools.

Connectivity options

In terms of connectivity options, Lenovo offers wireless connectivity with dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS on the Vibe K5. Only one SIM supports 4G.

Battery:

The phone features a 2,750mAh battery, which is good to deliver up to 32 hours of talk time on 2G, and 12 hours of music playback, as per the company claims.

Dolby Audio:

A highlight of the phone is the Dolby Atmos with twin stereo speakers. The Dolby Atmos ensures good audio experience to users of the phone.

Software:

Speaking of the software, the phone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 wrapped under Vibe UI out of the phone. The company has not revealed information about Marshmallow update to the phone.
