LG is yet to unveil its flagship smartphone of this year. Based on the recent reports, the upcoming LG flagship could be dubbed LG G7 ThinQ. Like the LG V30 ThinQ, this one is also believed to arrive with support for AI. While the company is yet to reveal any official information regarding the device, a report has revealed quite a few details of the smartphone.
A TechRadar report has revealed the key specifications and AnTuTu scores of the LG G7 ThinQ as they have received the photos and screengrabs of the same. The smartphone is speculated to see the light of the day in May in the US with the model number LG-G710TM. Going by the photo above, the display notch is clearly visible though the smartphone is clad in a non-removable plastic case for testing.
There appear to be major changes in terms of design such as the near bezel-less display, power button at the right, and a dedicated AI button at the left. The notch appears to house a notification LED indicator and a selfie camera. Lately, LG has been looking out for user opinion to know what they feel about the notch. Though the thread on Reddit has been deleted, this confirms that the smartphone will feature a notch. We can expect the company to come up with an option to hide the notch as OnePlus is planning to do with its flagship.
Another photo reveals the key specifications of the LG G7 ThinQ including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 4GB RAM and 64GB of default storage space. Though the processor is on par with the current generation flagship smartphones, the RAM and storage are not too impressive and the LG smartphone could be out-shadowed by the rest of the models in the segment. We say so as the OnePlus 6 is expected to feature 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space. Given that the previous reports hinting at the use of 6GB RAM in the LG G7 ThinQ, we can expect this to be one of the variants of the smartphone.
The report has also revealed the AnTuTu scores of the LG G7 ThinQ. Going by the same, the smartphone appears to have scored 252,473, which is impressive. We do not know if this score is real but it hints that the smartphone compares with its competition that exists in the market.
