LG G7 ThinQ leaked in full glory; launch date, key specs and color options

LG G7 ThinQ, the company's upcoming flagship is all set to get unveiled on May 2 at an event in New York. The smartphone will be announced in LG's home country South Korea in the following day, LG has officially confirmed. With about one month left for the launch, Android Headlines has posted a press render said to be of the G7 ThinQ.

As per the images, the LG G7 ThinQ will come in in Raspberry Rose, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue (Matte), Platinum Grey, and Aurora Black color options. The availability of these color variants will vary depending on region and carrier. That said, the Aurora Black variant is expected to launch in all markets. Apart from the color options, the render also gives us an idea of the smartphone's design language.

The LG G7 ThinQ appears to sport an edge-to-edge screen with an iPhone X-like notch at the top. The display is slightly curved at the corners, probably for a better hand grip. At the rear panel, there is a vertically stacked dual camera setup positioned towards the center. The camera module is accompanied by an LED flash.

If you go a little south, the circular fingerprint scanner can be spotted. The LG branding is present at the bottom of the phone's rear panel. The right side of the G7 ThinQ houses a single lock button, whereas on the left there is a volume rocker button and another button, which could be the dedicated key for activating the virtual assistant.

As suggested by its name, the G7 ThinQ is expected to support LG's AI initiative. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will come with AI capabilities. When it comes to specifications, the flagship device is likely to ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage space.

The dual rear camera setup is speculated to comprise of two 16MP sensors. The main camera could come with AI features and an aperture size as wide as f/1.5. Rumors have it, the G7 ThinQ will be LG's first phone to sport f/1.5 aperture, with Samsung's Galaxy S9 being the only other phone to feature the same.
