LG G7 ThinQ to have optional notch, better low-light camera
Just like the upcoming OnePlus 6, LG G7 ThinQ will be able to hide the notch.
Yesterday, we came across the first press render of the LG G7 ThinQ. The upcoming flagship is slated for May 2 launch at an event in New York. Android Headlines after releasing the render of the smartphone, has now come up with more details about the G7 ThinQ. The smartphone will reportedly come with improved cameras and AI features.
As we already know, the LG G7 ThinQ will sport dual rear cameras at its back. According to the latest report by Android Headlines, the dual camera setup will comprise of two 16MP sensors. One will be equipped with a RGB lens with an aperture size of f/1.6, another will be equipped with a 107-degree wide-angle lens.
Much like the LG's V30S ThinQ phone, the camera on G7 ThinQ will also have AI capabilities. The camera will be able to analyze subjects in the frame and recommend the optimal shooting mode among various categories.
Besides this, LG is also said to introduce a feature called "SuperPixel" for capturing better images in low-light conditions. The G7 ThinQ "will be marketed as capable of capturing four times brighter images and videos compared to the G6 and V30 lineups," notes the report.
As stated, the AI present on the G7 ThinQ will enhance the capabilities of Google Assistant, so users will enjoy a more hands-free experience. The press render of the smartphone shows a dedicated AI button on the side.
The report has pointed out another thing that will make the notch-haters happy. While the G7 ThinQ will feature a notch akin to the iPhone X, the notch would be optional. In other words, users will be able to hide the notch by blacking out the pixels to its left and right.
Talking about the specifications, LG's upcoming flagship is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal space. If we were to make an educated guess, the smartphone could have another variant with more storage space.
The LG G7 ThinQ will be available in a wide array of color options including Raspberry Rose, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue (Matte), Platinum Grey, and Aurora Black.
