LG K8 likely launched in India at Rs. 9,999
LG K8 is tipped to be available at Rs. 9,999.
Earlier this year, LG announced the K8 and K5 smartphones under the K series. Now, it looks like the LG K8 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 9,999. Notably, this smartphone is the successor to the LG K8 that was launched in February 2016.
According to a tweet by the popular tipster and Mumbai-based retailer @Mahesh Telecom, the LG K8 with the model number X240i is available in the country at Rs. 9,999 while its market price is Rs. 11,000. For now, there is no information when the availability of the smartphone.
The LG K8 sports a premium design with a textured back and curved edges. In terms of specs, the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch HD 720p IPS display and employs a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor teamed up with 2GB RAM and 16GB of default memory capacity that can be further expanded up to 64GB with the help of a microSD card.
The imaging aspects of the LG K8 include a 13MP primary camera at its rear with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera with a wide-angle lens and soft LED flash as well. The connectivity features on board the LG smartphone include Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi and dual SIM support. Booting on Android Nougat out of the box, the LG K8 gets the power from a 2500mAh battery that should be capable of rendering a decent backup to the smartphone.
If the LG K8 is launched in the country at Rs. 9,999 as tipped, then the smartphone will be positioned in the budget market segment that is already obsessed with a lot of budget smartphones such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. On Tuesday, Micromax announced the launch of the Canvas Infinity with an 18:9 aspect ratio display at the same price point of Rs. 9,999.
