LG is said to be prepping for the launch another smartphone in its V-series. At MWC 2018, the company launched the successor of last year's LG V30, the LG V30S ThinQ. While the rumor mill has recently been really active with the upcoming flagship LG G7 ThinQ, fresh information suggests the South Korean phone manufacturer also plans to launch a smartphone called LG V35 ThinQ.
Android Headlines, citing an anonymous source and an in-house LG documentation, has revealed some of the key specifications of the LG V35 ThinQ. According to the report, the smartphone will sport a 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display that is also present in the LG V30S ThinQ. The display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 80 percent. Notably, the V35 ThinQ will come sans an iPhone X-like notch that is expected in the G7 ThinQ.
The report says the LG V35 ThinQ will flaunt "an edge-to-edge design crafted to fit in the palm of your hand." It is said that the smartphone will come in Black and Gray color variants with a "premium glossy finish."
On the optics front, the V35 ThinQ will reportedly feature a dual rear camera setup with two 16MP sensors. The primary sensor will come equipped with a glass lens with f/1.6 aperture and 10-bit HDR compatibility. Whereas the secondary sensor will have a wide-angle with a field-of-view of 107-degree.
The LG V35 ThinQ will also come with 'AI Cam' and Google Lens support. Besides this, we can expect features like Super Bright mode and 'superpixels'. Finally, the smartphone will boast of a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC utilizing an ESS Sabre 9228. The report notes that LG will be marketing the V35 ThinQ as a super-smart device.
At the moment, we have no information regarding the pricing and availability of the V35 ThinQ. In any case, unless we receive an official we can't confirm the existence of the smartphone.
As stated, LG will be launching the G7 ThinQ on May 2 at an event in New York. It has already been leaked several times, with press renders of the smartphone coming up earlier this week.
