MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC Announced: Check out all its Features, Specifications
MediaTek has officially launched a new flagship chipset for the next generation of premium smartphones. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC succeeds last generation's Dimensity 9200 chip, bringing several improvements and upgrades.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 first showed up on the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, so it won't come as a surprise that its predecessor will be used on the Vivo X100 series, which is confirmed to launch in China on November 13.

MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC Performance
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip will also compete with the recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. MediaTek's latest flagship chip is based on TSMC's third generation 4nm+ process.
The standout feature on the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC is an 'all-big' core CPU design. The configuration boasts a Prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25GHz alongside 3x Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 2.85GHz, and 4x Cortex-A720 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz, all based on the Armv9 architecture.
The new chip offers a 40% improvement in peak performance compared to the Dimensity 9200 SoC, while using 30% less power. The CPU is paired with a 12-core Immortalis-G720 MC13 GPU, which supports ray tracing and offers a 46% improvement in performance, while consuming 40% less power.
The new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC also supports LPDDR5T RAM with speeds up to 9,600 Mbps and UFS 4.0 storage with Multi-Circular Queue (MCQ) support. Additionally, the new APU 790 handles AI tasks with support for several large language models (LLM) for generative AI experiences.
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC Display, Cameras, Connectivity
The MediaTek chipset also supports a WQHD at up to 180Hz or a 4K panel up to 120Hz. The chip also supports dual displays for foldable smartphones. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC uses the 5G R16 modem, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.
MediaTek's flagship chip features a new Imagiq 990 ISP with always-on HDR, 4K at 30 fps cinematic mode, 4K AI Noise Reduction (AI-NR). The new chip also supports 4K video at up to 60fps or 8K video up to 30fps. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is set to debut on Vivo X100 series next week.
