Vivo X90 series launched in India with MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, 120Hz Display, ZEISS Cameras

Vivo has officially announced two new flagship smartphones in India. The Vivo X90 series brings two new smartphones to the fray - Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro. The two devices succeed last year's Vivo X80 and X80 Pro in the country.

The Vivo X90 series arrives with the latest flagship MediaTek chipset, a curved AMOLED panel, triple rear cameras co-engineered with ZEISS, and a solid build. To recall, the Vivo X90 series has already been unveiled globally. Additionally, the top-end Vivo X90 Pro Plus won't be available outside China.

Vivo X90 Series Price in India

The Vivo X90 Pro price in India is set at Rs 84,999 for the sole 12GB/256GB model. Additionally, the Vivo X90 price in India will start from Rs 59,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, while the 12GB/256GB model will set you back Rs 63,999. The Vivo X90 comes in Asteroid Black and Breeze Blue colours, while the 'Pro' model is offered in a sole Legendary Black colour option.

Customers using ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank credit and debit cards and EMI transactions can get a discount of Rs 5,500 on the Vivo X90 and Rs 8,000 on the Vivo X90 Pro. Vivo is also offering an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs 8,000 on older devices.

Vivo is also offering a No Cost EMI payment option up to on the purchase of the Vivo X90 series. The Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro are available for pre-booking through Flipkart and Vivo's E-store, while discount offers will be available until May 11. The Vivo X90 series sale in India will start from May 5 at 12:00 pm (IST).

The Vivo X90 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimesnity 9200 SoC paired with the Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU. Additionally, the phone will come with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone packs a 4870 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging support.

The Vivo X90 Pro sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ (1260 x 2800 pixels) AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2160Hz PWM dimming. The panel supports 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and HDR10+. The phone has an "Ultra Large Vapor Chamber Liquid Cooling System".

The Vivo X90 Pro runs Android 13 based Funtouch 13 out of the box. Vivo also promises three years of major Android and security updates with the X90 Pro. The Vivo X90 Pro also features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Vivo X90 Pro Cameras

For optics, the Vivo X90 Pro boasts a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary shooter with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, a large f/1.75 aperture, and OIS support. Vivo calls it the "50MP VCS True Color Main Camera".

The primary camera is paired with a 12 MP Sony IMX663 ultrawide lens and a 50 MP Sony IMX758 sensor, which Vivo is calling the 'Professional Portrait Camera'. The Vivo X90 Pro's cameras are co-engineered with ZEISS on both the software and hardware levels.

The Vivo X90 Pro's rear cameras also use ZEISS T* lens coating and has a laser focus sensor. The camera also offers access to several custom ZEISS modes. It is also equipped with the custom V2 imaging chip, which helps with gaming and optics. Up front, there's a 32 MP selfie camera.
