The Micromax Canvas Infinity that was launched in India in the last week at Rs. 9,999 went on sale in the country on Friday as an Amazon India exclusive.
The smartphone from the stable of Micromax that was designed with the Galaxy S8 as the inspiration seems to have lured the interest of many consumers in the country. As per the company, the Canvas Infinity went out of stock in just two hours since the sale debuted. According to a report by The Mobile Indian, 48,000 units of the Canvas Infinity went out of stock during the first sale in just two hours on Amazon.
The highlight of the Micromax Canvas Infinity is the presence of an Infinity Display panel that has an HD resolution of 1440x720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. As seen on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, this smartphone also has an almost bezel-less design and minimal top and bottom bezels. The display is a 5.7-inch panel, and despite the large screen, the handset has a smaller footprint than a few other smartphones with a 5.5-inch display.
Under its hood, the Micromax smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of memory capacity. The storage space can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. The imaging department comprises of a 13MP main camera at its rear with an aperture of f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, an 81.5-degree wide-angle lens and LED flash. The selfie camera is a 16MP module.
The connectivity features that the Canvas Infinity comes bundled with include dual SIM support, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE and a micro USB port. The smartphone is backed by a 2900mAh battery that can last long on moderate usage. The Micromax runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
