Moto Edge 40 5G to Launch in India Later This Month
Motorola is preparing to launch the Moto Edge 40 in India, weeks after it debuted in Europe. The affordable flagship series will arrive in the country by the end of this month, if the latest report is to be believed.

According to a MySmartPrice report, citing industry sources, the Moto Edge 40 will make its way to India in May. However, the exact launch date has not been revealed yet.

Additionally, the outlet states that the Moto Edge 40 will come in Lunar Blue, Nebula Green and Eclipse Black color options. There will also be a Magenta version, which will come to India some time after the launch. The blue variant of the Moto Edge 40 will get a PMMA acrylic finish, while the green and black versions will have a faux leather finish.
Moto Edge 40 Specifications
The Moto Edge 40 sports a 6.55-inch Full AMOLED screen with a HD+ resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The panel features a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
The Edge 40 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, which is paired with a Mali G77 GPU. The smartphone features a 4,600mAh battery with 68W TurboPower fast charging support. Additionally, it comes with 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Moving on to imaging, the Edge 40 features a dual camera setup at the rear, comprising a 50MP main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support and a 13MP ultrawide lens. At the front, there's a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
As for the operating system, the Moto Edge 40 runs Android 13-based MyUx 5 out of the box. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, and GPS. The Edge 40 measures 159 × 72 × 7.6 mm and weighs around 170 grams. The device is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.
