Moto G6 press renders and key specs are out

Back in January this year, Motorola's smartphone lineup for this year surfaced online and it was expected to unveil some of these models at the MWC 2018 tech show in late February. However, the same did not happen and the Moto X5 has been canceled. Now, it is believed that the company might unveil a few smartphones in April including the Moto G and Moto E series phones.

While an official confirmation regarding the upcoming Motorola smartphone is awaited, the Moto G6 has been surfaced online in the form of press renders. These press renders revealed by Killer Features appear to show the smartphone from all the angles. From the press renders, it looks like the smartphone might sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The bezel at the top is said to feature sensors, earpiece, and selfie flash. The bottom appears to have a thin fingerprint sensor.

The Moto G6 appears to flaunt a glass design at the front and rear (with the latter being slightly curved). We have already seen such a design with the Moto X4, which was unveiled in September 2017. At the rear, the Moto G6 appears to flaunt a circular camera module with two camera sensors and LED flash as well. There are a volume rocker and a power button at the right and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. While it remains unknown, we can expect the device to probably have the 3.5mm jack.

In a related news, a report by Android Headlines revealed the complete specifications of the Moto G6. Going by the same, the smartphone could feature a 5.7-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under its hood, the device could make use of a Snapdragon 450 SoC teamed up with 3GB/4GB RAM and 64GB of default memory capacity.

For imaging, the Moto G6 is believed to feature dual cameras at its rear comprising of 12MP and 5MP sensors. This dual-camera setup will help in clicking DSLR-like shots with bokeh effect. The selfie camera on the Moto G6 is a 16MP sensor with LED flash. The other aspects believed to be included in the Moto G6 are said to be 4G VoLTE, dual SIM support, Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3000mAh battery.
