Moto G85 5G Launch Date in India Confirmed for July 10: Check Expected Pricing, Specifications

Motorola is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone in its G series in India next week. The Moto G85 5G will join the ranks of the company's more affordable G series, sitting right under the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. To recall, the Moto G85 recently made its debut in Europe, while also debuting as the Motorola S50 Neo in China.

Moto G85 5G India Launch, Expected Price

The Moto G85 launch date in India is set for July 10 at 12 noon (IST). Following its launch, the Moto G85 5G will be available for purchase in the country through Flipkart, Motorola's e-store, and through offline partner retailers.

Moreover, the Moto G85 5G will be offered in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. The Moto G85 5G price in India could start from under Rs 20,000, sitting right under the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.

Moto G85 5G Specifications

The Moto G85 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Moto G85 runs a near-stock version of Android 14. Motorola promises two years of OS upgrades and three years of regular security updates with the G85 5G.

Motorola's latest G series smartphone sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ P-OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The handset also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging support.

For optics, the G85 boasts a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and an 8 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a dedicated macro mode. Up front, the Moto G85 is equipped with a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The Moto G85 features an in-display fingerprint reader and an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and splashes of water. Connectivity options include Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G, 4G, NFC, GPS, and more. The phone also packs stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
