Moto G85 with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED Display Launched Under the Radar

Motorola recently launched the Moto Razr 50 Ultra and Razr 50 in China. However, the company also unveiled the Moto S50 Neo alongside its flip smartphones.

Less than a day since the launch event and Motorola has unveiled the Moto G85 under the radar in Europe. The Moto G85 features the same design and specifications as the S50 Neo, which confirms it is a rebrand.

Moto G85 Price in the UK

The Moto G85 price is set at £299.99 (roughly Rs 31,750) in the UK for the sole 12GB/256GB model. The Moto G85 is available for purchase on the company's online store in the UK. Moreover, customers who purchase the phone will get a free 68W TurboPower charger.

The Moto G85 is offered in three color options including Urban Grey, Olive Green, and Cobalt Blue. As of now, there is no confirmation but the Moto G85 is expected to make its debut in India sometime next month.

Moto G85 Specifications

Motorola's latest G series smartphone sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ P-OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The Moto G85 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is more or less a rebranded Snapdragon 695 SoC.

The Moto G85 comes with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The Moto G85 runs a near-stock version of Android 14. The handset also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging support.

For optics, the G85 boasts a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and an 8 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a dedicated macro mode. Up front, the Moto G85 is equipped with a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The Moto G85 features an in-display fingerprint reader and an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and splashes of water. Connectivity options include Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G, 4G, NFC, GPS, and more. The phone also packs stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
