Moto Z3 Play renders show its design from all angles
Check out the latest renders of the Moto Z3 Play.
From the last year's launch pattern, we cannot expect to see the announcement of the new Moto Z smartphone until the third quarter of this year. However, the leaks and speculations regarding the smartphone are many in number. We have been coming across several leaks regarding the upcoming Moto Z3 Play smartphone of late including its case renders and FCC listing.
Twitter user @OnLeaks and KillerFeatures have teamed up for the 3D renders of the Moto Z3 Play. The new set of renders are somewhat identical to the case renders of the smartphone we saw a few days back. It looks like the Moto Z3 will not have a major redesign in comparison to the previous generation model but there could be some key changes.
Talking about the design changes, the alleged Moto Z3 Play appears to sport thinner bezels in order to accommodate the 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The slim bezels indicate that the bottom will have no room to house the fingerprint scanner. However, the fingerprint scanner is not seen at the rear as it is housed at the right. The bottom bezel features the Motorola branding in the place of the fingerprint sensor.
There appears to be a slight redesign at the rear of the upcoming smartphone. The connector pins for the Moto Mods appear to have been changed. Instead of circular pins as seen on the Moto Z2 series, there are rectangular pins. What's interesting is that there are identical number of pins hinting that the old models will be compatible with the new Moto Z3 Play.
At the rear, the smartphone appears to house a Motorola batwing logo. Above this logo is the camera with a similar circular design. The circular enclosure for the camera houses two sensors and the LED flash appears to be a tad smaller. Given that the right edge of the phone has become the new home to the fingerprint sensor, the power button seems to be pushed to the left of the smartphone. The SIM tray is at the top and the USB Type-C port is at the bottom without a 3.5mm audio jack.
From the existing reports, Moto Z3 Play is expected to arrive with a Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage space. The dual-camera module could arrive with 12MP and 8MP sensors and a 5MP selfie camera as well. The Moto Z3 Play alleged to measure 156.4 x 76.47 x 8.92 mm could get the power from a 3000mAh battery.
