The Motorola Edge 40 will go on sale in India for the first time today. The Edge 40 hit global markets earlier this month and made its debut in India last week. However, Indian customers will be able to purchase the Motorola Edge 40 later today.

With the Edge 40, Motorola delivers an excellent mid-tier smartphone. The Edge 40 opts for a MediaTek chipset, a dual-camera setup, a near-stock Android software experience, a sizeable battery with fast charging support, a smooth display, and an IP rating for water and dust resistance.

The Motorola Edge 40 price in India is set at Rs 29,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB variant. Customers can pre-order the Motorola Edge 40 in India starting today. The Motorola Edge 40 sale in India kicks off at 12:00 pm (IST) today.

The Moto Edge 40 can be purchased on Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores across the country. Motorola is also offering an exchange bonus of Rs 2,000 as well as No Cost EMI payment option on the purchase of its latest premium mid-range smartphone.

Motorola Edge 40 Specifications

The Motorola Edge 40 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The handset also packs a 4,400 mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It runs on Android 13 with Motorola's MyUX skin on top.

The Edge 40 sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ 3D curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel boasts a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, 100% DCI-P3 colours, HDR10+ support, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The Moto Edge 40 also packs stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

For optics, the Motorola Edge 40 gets a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor that supports OIS and a wide f/1.4 aperture. The phone also has a 13 MP ultrawide lens with doubles as a macro shooter. Up front, the Edge 40 opts for a 32 MP selfie camera. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Motorola Edge 40 comes in three shades - Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, and Lunar Blue. The Nebula Green and Eclipse Black models have a vegan leather finish while an acrylic glass finish is found on the Lunar Blue colourway. The phone supports 14 5G bands and offers Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
