Motorola Edge 50 Fusion India Launch Confirmed: Check Specifications, Expected Pricing

Motorola is gearing up to unveil a new mid-range smartphone in India, following the launch of the Edge 50 Pro. The upcoming phone will be the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which was unveiled globally alongside the Edge 50 Ultra back in April.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will debut as the most affordable smartphone in the Edge 50 series and is expected to sit right under the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which is currently starts from Rs 30,999 in India.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion launch in India is expected to take place later this month. However, no official launch date has been provided. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is expected to go on sale in India through Flipkart after its launch in the country.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will succeed last year's Edge 40 Neo, which debuted in India's sub-25K segment. So we can expect the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion price in India to start from under Rs 25,000. Moreover, Motorola is also launching new true wireless earbuds in India on May 9.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Specifications

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The handset runs Android 14-based Hello UX on top. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 65W wired fast charging support over a USB Type-C port.

For optics, the Edge 50 Fusion gets a 50 MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.88 aperture and a 13 MP ultrawide lens that doubles as a macro camera. Up front, there's a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The Edge 50 Fusion also sports a 6.7-inch curved P-OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel boasts a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Motorola's upcoming mid-range smartphone also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
