Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Launched with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, 144Hz OLED Display, Wooden Back
Motorola has officially released a new flagship smartphone in its Edge series globally. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra's global debut comes on the back of the recent Edge 50 Pro launch in India.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra arrives with a flagship Snapdragon chipset, a curved OLED display, a 50 MP triple-camera setup, and a sizeable battery with super-fast wired and wireless charging support. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra also comes with the option of a wooden back panel.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Design, Display, Build
Yes, you heard that right! While the Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz variants use a vegan leather back panel, the Nordic Wood shade features a rear panel made of real wood. Additionally, all three variants use an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra also boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Edge 50 Ultra also sports a curved 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a 1.5K (2,712 x 1,220 pixels) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The screen also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The panel also supports HDR10+ and can reach a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. It is also certified for HD streaming from Netflix and Amazon. The display is also calibrated by Pantone.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone also packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The Edge 50 Ultra runs Android 14-based Hello UX out of the box.
Connectivity options on the Edge 50 Ultra include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, USB Type-C port with USB 3.2 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity, and more. The Moto Edge 50 Ultra also packs stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking support.

On the back, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra opts for a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera with a large 1/1.3" sensor size, an f/1.6 aperture, and OIS support. The main camera is paired with a 64 MP telephoto-periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, a 72mm local length, and an f/2.4 aperture.
Completing the rear camera setup is a 50 MP ultrawide shooter with an f/2.0 lens that has 122° field of view that also supports a macro mode. Up front, the Edge 50 Ultra features a 50 MP selfie camera with an f/1.9 lens and autofocus. The camera system here is validated by Pantone and uses AI inputs to improve shutter speed, stabilization, and focusing.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra price will start from EUR 999 (roughly Rs 88,850) in Europe. As of now, there is no word about the availability of the Edge 50 Ultra, although Motorola has confirmed that it will be available across selected markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Oceania.
