The Motorola Edge 50 is set to go on sale in India for the first time today. The vanilla Motorola Edge 50 made its debut in India last week as the fourth smartphone in the series, following the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 50 Ultra.

The Motorola Edge 50 sale in India kicks off at 12 noon today via Flipkart and Motorola.in. The Motorola Edge 50 price in India starts from Rs 27,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB model. The Motorola Edge 50 is offered in Jungle Green, Koala Grey, and Peach Fuzz shades.

Customers using IDFC First Bank and Axis Bank credit cards can get a flat discount of Rs 2,000 on the Edge 50, while an extra Rs 2,000 exchange offer is also available for those who don't use the bank discounts.

Motorola Edge 50 Specifications

The vanilla Edge 50 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition chipset, which is tailored to unlock AI-powered experiences. The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs Android 14 out of the box with Motorola promising three years of OS updates and four years of regular security patches.

The Motorola Edge 50 sports a 6.67-inch p-OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and a 1.5K resolution. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The panel supports HDR10+ content and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The display is SGS Blue Light Reduction and SGS Motion Blur Reduction certified.
