We already know Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 50 in the global markets. The smartphone was spotted on several certification sites including TDRA, FCC, and EEC.
Now, it has appeared in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), suggesting an imminent India launch. While the BIS listing doesn't confirm anything except for the model number, it reveals the launch could take place soon in the country.

Motorola Edge 50 India Launch Expected Soon
The Motorola Edge 50 has been spotted (via MySmartPrice) with the model number XT2407-3. As mentioned above, the certification didn't reveal any specifications of the upcoming Motorola smartphone. However, FCC certification suggested the Motorola Edge 50 will pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging. It will also run Android 14 with Motorola's Hello UI on top.
Apart from this nothing is known at this moment. We expect to get more details in the coming days. The upcoming Motorola Edge 50 is believed to come as a successor to the Edge 40, which has a 6.55-inch FHD+ 3D curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The handset also packs a 4,400 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. For imaging, there is a 50MP dual-camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera sensor.
Moreover, the Motorola Edge 40 is available at Rs 26,999 in the country. Given that, the upcoming Edge 50 could be priced similarly and offer some upgrades over the Edge 40.
In the same, the brand recently unveiled the Razr 50 Ultra clamshell foldable smartphone in India, which will be available for purchase starting July 20 during the Amazon Prime Day sale; however, the pre-booking will go live on July 10 (tomorrow).
