Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Likely to Launch Soon in India; Expected Price and Features

Motorola launched the Edge 50 Pro last month in India. Now, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is expected to arrive soon in the country. The brand has not confirmed anything officially; however, the device was spotted on the BIS certification listing, which hints at an imminent launch.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra India Launch Likely Soon

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with the model number XT2401-1 was spotted on the BIS certification website. The certification did not disclose anything apart from the model number. However, the phone is already available in the global market, which gives an idea of what to expect from the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Ultra.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Features in India

We expect the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will share the same set of specifications as its global variant. This means the phone will sport a curved 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a 1.5K (2,712 x 1,220 pixels) resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. For imaging, there will be a triple-camera setup including a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, a 64MP telephoto-periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter with 122° field of view. Up front, the Edge 50 Ultra will offer a 50MP selfie camera.

The camera system will also have AI inputs like the Edge 50 Pro to adjust brightness, contrast, and colour balance while capturing images. The phone will pack a 4,500 mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. On the software front, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will run Android 14-based Hello UX out of the box.

The phone was launched with a starting price of EUR 999 (roughly Rs 88,850) in Europe. Given that, we expect it will compete against other flagship devices in the segment.
