Motorola Edge 70 Pro Launching in India Today via Flipkart: Check Specifications & Expected Price Range

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is set to make its debut in India later today. The phone will debut as the third phone in the series, following the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion. Ahead of its launch, Motorola has confirmed the full specifications of the Edge 70 Pro.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC, a Sony LYTIA-710 main camera, a 1.5K Super HD AMOLED display, and a massive 6,500mAh silicon carbon battery.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Launch and Price Range in India: What to Expect

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following its launch in India, the Edge 70 Pro will go on sale through Flipkart, Motorola's website, and other partner retailers. The handset will be offered in Pantone lily white, Pantone tea, and Pantone titan colour options.

We expect the Motorola Edge 70 Pro price in India to start from anywhere between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. This represents a major price hike over the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, which fetched a starting price of Rs 29,999 at the time of its launch in the country.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Specifications

According to Flipkart's listing, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Extreme processor. This chipset will pair with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Thermal management will rely on a 4600mm² vapour chamber cooling area, which is designed to keep temperatures under control during long gaming sessions and heavy multitasking.

The battery on the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is listed as a 6,500mAh silicon carbon unit, larger than typical mid-range packs. Motorola will include a 90W charger in the box, allowing fast wired charging. The company states that Android 16 will run on the device with Motorola's Hello UI, plus three Android OS updates and five years of security patches.

On the front, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro will carry a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support will handle audio. Protection comes from Gorilla Glass 7i, while an IP68/69 rating is specified for resistance to dust and water exposure.

The camera setup is another focus area. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and a variable focal range equivalent to 12mm-81mm, covering wide to short telephoto. It also includes a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP front camera with autofocus, and supports 4K video recording at 60fps on every lens.
