Motorola Razr 2019 Foldable Smartphone Set To Launch Today: Expected Price And Specs

Motorola once launched its premium-looking Razr flip phone series, which became one of the most famous phones. Now, the company is coming back with the new Motorola Razr 2019. The company is all set to launch the smartphone today (November 13) and the phone is widely anticipated as a foldable smartphone which will come with a foldable display. The company is hosting the event in Los Angeles, California. Here are the details:

Motorola Razr has been in the news headlines for quite some time now and the leaked renders suggested that the phone will debut with a flip-design which will include a secondary display on the front panel. It will look similar to the original Razr series flip phone but this one will be a full touch screen.

Back in October, Motorola sent out media invites for a launch event on November 13 in Los Angeles. The invite reads, "An original unlike any other." The invite also mentions, "You're going to flip" which means that Motorola is making a comeback for its Razr phone. The invite also comes with a GIF image which suggests a flip phone design for new Razr 2019.

Back in February this year, Dan Dery Motorola Global Product VP confirmed that the company is gearing up for a launch of a foldable smartphone. However, he didn't mention anything about the Motorola Razr 2019. "We started to work on foldable a long time ago," Dery had said the interview.

Renders also suggest that the smartphone will arrive with a secondary display which is said to display notifications and also allow users to click selfies without even unfolding the phone. As per the leaked design renders, the phone will open vertically from the middle, and it will also house a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Motorola Razr 2019 Rumored Specifications

According to rumors, the Motorola Razr 2019 will come equipped with a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 876 x 2142 pixels. The display resolution of the secondary screen will be 600 X 800 pixels. The smartphone is said to be fuelled by a 2,730 mAh battery which seems to be very less when it comes to dual-screen smartphones.

Under the hood, the smartphone is speculated to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, clubbed with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The expected price for the Motorola Razr 2019 is EUR 1,500 (approx Rs. 1,18,500). Meanwhile, the company has not mentioned any specific timing about the launch of the smartphone.
