Motorola recently unveiled two new flip smartphones in China. The Moto Razr 40 series include the Moto Razr 40 and Moto Razr 40 Ultra. The two new Motorola clamshell folding smartphones arrive at two very different price points.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will go up against the likes of other flagship flip smartphones like the Vivo X Flip, OPPO Find N2 Flip, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. While the Motorola Razr 40 will be the more affordable option with its premium mid-range pricing.

Motorola Razr 40, Motorola 40 Ultra Price
The Moto Razr 40 price is set at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 46,450) for the 8GB/128GB model. The Razr 40 also comes in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB that will set you back CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 49,900) and CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs 54,600), respectively.
The Moto Razr 40 Ultra price is set at CNY 5,699 (roughly Rs 66,200) for the 8GB/256GB variant and CNY 6,399 (roughly Rs 74,300) for the 12GB/512GB. Both the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra will be available for pre-order in China.

The Moto Razr 40 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The handset runs on Android 13 out of the box with the MyUX skin. The Razr 40 Ultra packs a 3,800 mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging.
The Razr 40 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ POLED LTPO display with 1,400 nits of peak brightness. The panel boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+. The Moto Razr 40 Ultra has a large outer POLED display with a 3.6-inch screen size. The outer screen features a 144Hz refresh rate, while the phone uses an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 7 back panel.

For optics, the Razr 40 Ultra gets a dual-camera setup with a 12 MP primary camera sensor with OIS and a secondary 13 MP ultrawide unit that doubles as a macro lens. On the front, there's a 32 MP selfie camera. Motorola's clamshell foldable phone features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an IP52 splash-resistance rating. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi-6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C port, and NFC. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra arrives in Fengya Black, Ice Crystal Blue, and Magenta shades.
