Mystery Oppo Smartphone With 6.5-Inch Display, Triple-Rear Cameras Shows Up On TENNA
Oppo is in the headlines for its upcoming premium mid-range Reno 3 launch which is scheduled on December 26. Well, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer is also working on another smartphone which could be another mid-range offering. The alleged Oppo device has dropped by online, clearing a certification.
New Oppo Smartphone Spotted Online
The new Oppo smartphone has been certified by the Chinese mobile authentication platform - TENNA. The handset has been spotted with PDBM00 model number and the listing also gives insight into some of the hardware.
The Oppo PDBM00 TENNA listing reveals a 6.5-inch display. While there is no mention of the resolution or the display type, the device is seen sporting a waterdrop notch. It is worth mentioning that the majority of smartphone manufacturers are now shifting towards a punch-hole design.
And with Oppo sticking to a waterdrop notch display, indicates an affordable of the mid-range device in the making. The TENNA listing reveals that the handset will come with 163.9x 75.5x 8.3mm dimensions.
The image also reveals the placement of the power key and the volume rockers on the right and left panel respectively. At the rear, the device is seen with a triple-rear camera module aligned vertically on the top-left.
This is the most usual placement of the camera sensors in a smartphone. Currently, there is no information available on the camera specifications. What further makes us believe the upcoming device is an affordable offering is the presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In terms of connectivity, the device will come with dual-SIM and LTE. Lastly, the TENNA listing also suggests a 4,230mAh battery; however, there is no mention of fast charging support.
Apart from the aforementioned features, the TENNA listing doesn't reveal any other information on the hardware or software of the device. It is being speculated that the upcoming device could be launched under Oppo 'A' series umbrella. But, it will only be clear when some more details surface on the device.
