New iPhone 15 Dummy Models Showcase the New Muted Colors

Apple Insider recently obtained early prototypes of the upcoming iPhone 15 series, offering a preliminary look at the changes in design and color choices for the next generation of iPhones. Let's take a look.

iPhone 15: Color Options

The iPhone 15 will be available in five colors: white, black, yellow, pink/red, and blue. The phone's frame will be made of aluminum and have a brushed finish, as usual.

Design Changes

One noticeable design change is the lack of a Dynamic Island. This design update has been rumored for a long time, so there will be no notch this time. The prototypes also reveal the presence of a toggle button and SIM card tray, which may be exclusive to international models, while the models for the US/Canada may not have SIM card slots.

iPhone 15 Pro: Color Options

The iPhone 15 Pro series will be available in Silver, Space Black, a new shade called Titan Gray, and a deep blue color that resembles the Blue iPhone 12. The prototypes have glossy edges, but the final product is expected to have a refined matte finish on its titanium frame, as the Pro models will switch to the new material.

Action Button

The iPhone 15 Pro has a new Action button that replaces the toggle button. This multifunctional button is similar in size and offers a variety of customizable features, including silent mode, accessibility enhancements, quick shortcuts, camera and flashlight controls, magnification, translation tools, and voice memos.

Connectivity and Charging

All prototypes have a modern USB-C port at the bottom, which ensures up-to-date connectivity options. There are speculations that the Pro models may have Thunderbolt ports, while the standard models are likely to stick with USB 2.0 ports. Charging speeds are also expected to differ, with the Pro models potentially supporting up to 35W charging, a significant increase from the anticipated 20W charging for the standard models.
