Barely a month has passed since the launch of iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. While the iPhone 8 models are already up for sale, Apple is yet to release the iPhone X in the market.

However, details regarding the 2018 iPhones have already started pouring in. According to fresh information coming from China, the upcoming iPhones will be mainly aimed at the Chinese market. Carrying almost the same features as the Apple iPhone X, the devices are reportedly codenamed as "Lisbon" and "Hangzhou". What's more, they are said to come with affordable price tags.

The source further explains Apple wants to strengthen its foothold in the Chinese market. Currently, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are the leading smartphone manufacturers in the country, while Apple holds the 5th spot. Hence, the Cupertino-giant may aim to step up its game in China by releasing the "Lisbon" and "Hangzhou".

Having said that, we can't guarantee you the authenticity of this news. Apple has always used alphanumeric code names for its iPhones. For example, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus carry the code names D20 and D22 respectively. We can't possibly think of a reason why the company has suddenly decided to codename its future iPhones after cities.

Moving on, a Japanese publication Macotakara claims that the lower-end iPhones coming next year may be priced around $90 (approximately Rs. 5,850) less than the iPhone X. This means the Lisbon or Hangzhou iPhone could be sold at the starting price of $909 (approximately Rs. 59,100) in China.

Existing rumors suggest, all the Apple iPhones releasing in 2018 will feature OLED displays, TrueDepth Camera system and Face ID technology.
