CMF Phone 3 Pro Is Cancelled: Nothing Blames Rising Memory Costs
If you were waiting on a CMF Phone 2 Pro successor, that wait just got a lot longer. Nothing has officially confirmed there won't be a new CMF Phone launching this year, and rising memory prices are the reason why.

Nothing Co-Founder Confirms the Decision
Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis confirmed the news in a post on X. He said a lot of people had been asking when the next CMF phone was coming, and the company wanted to be upfront about it.
He pointed out that the CMF Phone 2 Pro meant a lot to the team, even winning Budget Phone of the Year from MKBHD. But the successor didn't make the cut. "We were working on a successor but with memory prices where they are right now, we can't build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF," he said.
He followed that up plainly: "As a result, we've decided not to launch a new CMF phone this year. We'd rather be upfront about that than ship something we're not proud of."
That basically rules out the CMF Phone 3 Pro, or whatever its successor would have been called, for 2026. Specs for the device had already leaked back in April, which suggests the phone was in active development before the company pulled the plug later on.
Other CMF Products Still Coming
It's not a full pause on the CMF brand though. Akis confirmed CMF still has several new products launching this year, along with some "entirely new categories" he didn't detail further.
He also added that Nothing's "smartphone launch season isn't over yet," hinting at more phones from the main Nothing brand coming soon. That lines up with the brand already teasing two new products separately.
