Nokia 105 and Nokia 106 Feature Phones With In-Built UPI Launched in India
HMD Global has announced the new Nokia 105 (2023) and the Nokia 106 4G feature phones for India. Both phones come with built-in UPI 123PAY to facilitate seamless digital transactions.
The smartphone duo comes with the typical feature phone functions, such as a traditional T9 keyboard, micro USB port for charging, and long battery life. Here's a look at the Nokia 105 and Nokia 106.

Nokia 105 (2023), Nokia 106 Specifications
The Nokia 105 and the Nokia 106 are nearly identical, save for a few features. While the 106 model supports 4G, the Nokia 105 does not get LTE connectivity. As for the display, both phones sport 1.8-inch QQVGA panels with a resolution of 160×120 pixels.
Powering the Nokia 105 is a 1,000mAh battery which can reportedly allow up to 12 hours of talk time. The brand adds that it can last for 22 days in standby mode.
Meanwhile, the Nokia 106 4G gets a much larger 1,450mAh battery with up to 8 hours of talk time (on a 4G network) and 12 days of standby time.
Neither phones feature cameras. Both models support FM radio (wired and wireless), voice recorder, and can play MP3 files. There's also an LED torch. Both phones are IP52-rated for water resistance.
While the Nokia 106 supports 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, the Nokia 105 supports GSM 900/1800. The Nokia 105 measures 115.07 x 49.4 x 14.45mm and weighs 78.7 grams. Meanwhile, the Nokia 106 measures 121.5 x 50 x 14.4mm and weighs 93 grams.
Both smartphones support UPI 123PAY, which is NPCI's payment system which facilitates UPI payments for feature phones. UPI 123PAY allows users to make payments via IVR and the UPI 123PAY app.
Nokia 105, Nokia 106 Price in India
The Nokia 105 (2023) costs ₹1,299 and comes in Charcoal, Cyan and Red Terracotta colorways. Meanwhile, the Nokia 106 4G is priced in India at ₹2,199 and comes in Charcoal and Blue color options. Both phones can be purchased from Nokia.com and major retail stores.
