Already, HMD released the Nokia 1 Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone quietly in India at a price point of Rs. 5,499. So, we can expect the smartphones such as Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6 (2018), and Nokia 8 Sirocco and the Nokia 8110 4G feature phone to come to India in the next week.

The invite comes with the tagline, "We welcome you to discover the N-powered city of tomorrow" and this indicates at the launch of the next set of Nokia-branded devices in the country. There is a cryptic message as well reading, "We welcome you to Explore. Express. Create. Reimagine", revealing that there could be hints at photography and story-telling.

Notably, all the Nokia smartphones expected to be launched in India next week are based on Android One program. This platform will allow for faster and secure updates at a timely basis. HMD Global has a good track record of rolling out software updates to its smartphones and assured two years of OS support in the last year for the first batch of smartphones. As these phones run Android One, the updates will be rolled out directly by Google.

It is the sequel to the yesteryear flagship smartphone - the Nokia 8. The Nokia 8110 4G feature phone supports VoLTE and is a slider phone. This one will definitely be a stiff rival to the Reliance JioPhone and other such 4G enabled feature phones in the country.
