Nokia 8, the flagship smartphone from HMD Global was announced a few days back putting an end to the rumors and leaks. At the time of launch, it was announced that the smartphone will be released in the global markets starting from September.
However, within three days of its unveiling, the Nokia 8 has been made available pre-order in select markets such as Germany and Russia. What's interesting is that the pre-orders price is relatively cheaper than the one that was announced. In Germany, Mobilcom Debitel and O2 have listed the Nokia 8 for pre-order. The other carrier has listed the device for €579 (approx. Rs. 43,600).
Besides these carriers, the Nokia 8 will also be made available for pre-order via Amazon, Telekom, Saturn, and Media Markt in Germany. On pre-ordering the smartphone from O2, consumers will get a free Nokia Steel smartwatch priced at €129.95 (approx. Rs. 9,800).
Talking about the Russian market, the Nokia 8 is already up for pre-order from Megafon at a price equivalent to €575 (approx. Rs. 43,300). The carrier will offer the Nokia 8 in all the four color variants such as Tempered Blue, Polished Blue, Polished Copper and Silver.
While the technical specifications of the Nokia 8 are already known, the highlight of the smartphone is its dual rear camera setup. Nokia 8 boasts of a 13MP dual-lens rear camera setup (RGB+monochrome) with Carl Zeiss branding. This camera module has f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. There is a 13MP selfie camera as well on board with display flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. The handset also comes with the Dual-Sight, which makes use of both the front and rear cameras at the same time in order to click a snap.
