Nokia 9 protective cases reveal design ahead of MWC 2018 unveiling

HMD Global is hosting an event on February 25 at the MWC 2018 tech show in Barcelona to unveil its upcoming smartphones. One of the devices expected to be announced at the event is the Nokia 9. While we have already come across several speculations regarding the Nokia 9, a couple of cases of the smartphone from different case manufacturers have been listed online.

We have already seen the protective cases meant for the Nokia 9 appear on Amazon. These cases were made by HualuBro and sold by a few sellers on Amazon. Now, the cases from the popular case maker Terrapin have also been leaked. These Nokia 9 protective cases listed on the manufacturer's website appear to have the same design. What makes these cases special is that these reveal the render of the flagship smartphone.

Most of the case listings also feature the 3D renders of the Nokia 9 smartphone revealing the design of the smartphone to a great extent. We meant the design at both the front and rear of the smartphone. These renders also confirm details such as the edge-to-edge display and a dual camera setup at the rear as speculated earlier.

From the case listings, we can make out that the display wraps around the edges of the device. Also, the dual cameras at its rear appear to be aligned vertically with the LED flash positioned towards the right of the camera setup. The device also seems to have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that appears to be positioned just below the dual rear cameras.

While the leaked Nokia 9 cases reveal only this much information regarding the smartphone, the hearsay is that the smartphone might flaunt a 5.5-inch OLED display from LG Display with 2K resolution. The Nokia 9 is said to feature dual cameras - 12MP and 13MP at its rear and a 5MP selfie camera at the front. The smartphone is believed to make use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and 3250mAh battery as well to keep the lights turned on. The smartphone has been spotted on benchmark listings and the FCC database with the codename Avatar.
