Nothing Phone 2 Surfaces on Geekbench With Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 12GB RAM

Nothing has officially announced its plans to launch the Nothing Phone (2) in the summer of this year. Serving as the successor to last year's Phone (1), the Phone (2) will be positioned as a premium device and will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8-series processor.

The smartphone's model number and key specifications have already surfaced in the past. Notably, the device has now been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, listed with model number A065.

Nothing Phone 2 Geekbench Listing

The Geekbench listing reveals that the Phone (2) features a motherboard codenamed 'taro' with a combination of three cores clocked at 2.5GHz, four cores ticking at 1.8GHz, and one prime core at 3.0GHz. These details correspond to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which was accidentally revealed by a Qualcomm executive in a LinkedIn post.

The Geekbench entry also indicates that the Nothing Phone (2) comes with 12GB of RAM and will run on Android 13 out of the box. Furthermore, in the Geekbench test results, the Nothing Phone (2) obtained a single-core score of 1,253 and a multi-core score of 3,833.

Nothing Phone 2: Rumored Specifications

The upcoming Nothing Phone (2) is anticipated to sport a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, it is expected to be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for convenient unlocking. Similar to its predecessor, the Phone (2) is also likely to offer support for wireless charging.

In terms of optics, the phone is expected to sport a 50MP primary camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which helps in capturing stable and sharp images.

As for storage and memory options, the Nothing Phone (2) will likely be available in three variants: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.

Flipkart, the prominent Indian e-commerce giant, has already set up a dedicated page for the upcoming Nothing Phone 2. This indicates that the release of the phone in India is imminent and expected to happen soon.
