Nothing Starts Rolling Out Android 13 to Phone (1)

Nothing, the creator of the iconic smartphone with blinking lights and a transparent back, is now rolling out stable Android 13 in the form of Nothing OS 1.5 to all its devices worldwide, but you may have to wait a little longer.
Nothing OS 1.5 Is Here
Nothing is releasing a stable version of Nothing OS 1.5 after a rigorous two-month beta testing period. This update contains the long-awaited Android 13 build as well as the January 2023 security patch.
The update is only 157MB for those upgrading from the most recent public beta. People who did not sign up for the beta may have to wait a little longer, as the update appears to be arriving first on devices in the beta channel.
What's New in Nothing OS 1.5?
Nothing OS 1.5 brings a new version of Android apart from a host of improvements and new features. Here's the official changelog for v1.5 of Nothing OS:

Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, tweeted that the battery life of Phone (1) has significantly improved with Nothing OS v1.5. He went on to say that the change to an in-house team of developers, who previously worked on Oxygen OS for OnePlus, is to commend for the improvement. Previously, the externally developed codebase provided Nothing with little leverage over the software's stability and quality control.
The new update also makes the smartphone faster overall. The speed at which apps start up has gone up by 71%, the accuracy of fingerprint scanning has gone up by 12%, and the system stability has also gotten a lot better.
In addition, a new self-repair feature automatically deletes caches and unused system dumps, freeing up space and making the device faster.
Aside from performance improvements, the update includes a new weather app that beta users have been enjoying for some time. Because of the improved Material You theme of Android 13, there are new color palettes to experiment with, that includes new wallpapers and icons that match the wallpaper.
The update also has security improvements, such as the smartphone alerting you when an app accesses the clipboard and a photo picker that prioritizes privacy.
As previously stated, this update will take some time to reach your device because it is currently being rolled out to beta users. The update is expected to reach non-beta users in the coming weeks.
