Nothing Teases First-Ever B Series Device in India: New Smartphone Launch Tipped
Nothing has started teasing the launch of a new product in India, marking the debut of an entirely new "b" series in its portfolio. The company shared a short teaser on social media, hinting at the arrival of the first-ever Nothing device carrying the "b" branding.
The teaser came just a day after Nothing teased the launch of two new products. However, the Carl Pei-led brand has not yet confirmed the product name, category, or launch timeline.

Nothing Teases First-Ever B Series Device
In a teaser posted on X (formerly Twitter), Nothing showcased the letter "a" transforming into "b", suggesting the upcoming product could be positioned above or alongside its existing "a" lineup. While the teaser keeps key details under wraps, it confirms that the company is preparing to introduce a fresh product series in India.
At present, Nothing's portfolio includes its flagship numbered smartphone lineup, the more affordable "a" series smartphones, and wireless audio products such as the Ear and Ear (a). The new "b" branding could potentially expand either the smartphone or audio category.
New Nothing Smartphone Could Be in the Works
Adding to the speculation, tipster Yogesh Brar claims that Nothing may launch a new smartphone in India as early as next month. According to the leak, the company's sub-brand CMF has reportedly transferred its ongoing smartphone projects to Nothing after deciding not to launch any new handsets this year.
The tipster further suggests that CMF has delayed plans for a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, allowing Nothing to take over future smartphone launches. However, it remains unclear whether the teased "b" series product is related to these alleged smartphone projects.
What Could the New B Series Device Be?
Nothing recently expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of the Nothing Phone 4a (Review) and Phone 4a Pro in India. The company also offers the Nothing Ear (a) as part of its audio lineup. Given the naming convention, the upcoming "b" series device could either be a new smartphone positioned between the Phone 4a and flagship models or an entirely new audio product.
For reference, the Nothing Phone 4a features a 6.78-inch LTPS Flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and introduces the new Glyph Bar interface, which includes 63 mini-LEDs across six individually addressable zones.
Nothing is expected to reveal more details about its first "b" series product in the coming days. Until then, the teaser has sparked speculation about whether the company is preparing a new smartphone lineup, a fresh audio category, or something entirely different.
