ZTE's sub-brand Nubia has launched a new mid-range smartphone called Nubia V18 in China. It will go on sale in the country from March 29 at 1,299 Yuan (approximately Rs. 13,370). Interestingly, the V18 has similar specifications as the Nubia N3, which was launched earlier this month.

The Nubia V18 arrives with a 6.01-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels and aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is covered by a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, the handset makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB using the microSD card.

On the software front, the V18 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Nubia UI 5.1 on top. In terms of optics, the smartphone has 13MP rear-facing primary camera with LED flash and PDAF. It also features an 8MP front camera for selfies. The front camera comes with beautify mode and face unlock support.

The Nubia V18 draws power from a 4,000mAh battery with NeoPower 3.0 technology and USB OTG support. The phone's connectivity suite offers features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS + GLONASS. The handset measures 158.7×75.5×7.75mm and weighs 170g.

As for the design aspect, the V18 has a full-screen design. The bezels around its display are really narrow and the phone doesn't feature a physical home button. The smarphone will be available in three color options; Black, Red and Gold.

Nubia is also said to be working on a flagship smartphone which appeared on AnTuTu benchmarking listing with model number Nubia NX606J. According to the AnTuTu listing, the handset will pack 6GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. However, there must have been a mistake in the storage space.

What's interesting is that the Nubia NX606J scored higher than Samsung's Galaxy S9+ on AnTuTu. Unfortunately, there is not much available about the handset regarding the phone.
