OnePlus 12 5G Launch in India Confirmed for January 23: OnePlus 12R Could Tag Along

The OnePlus 12 5G recently got an official launch date globally. To recall, the OnePlus 12 5G arrived in China early this month as the company's first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

OnePlus 12 5G Launch in India, Globally

The OnePlus 12 5G global launch date is set for January 23, 2024. The OnePlus 12 will also arrive in India alongside the global launch, which is set to take place at 07:30 pm (IST).

Moreover, the OnePlus 12 won't be the only product arriving on January 23. We also expect the company to unveil the OnePlus 12R 5G at the event. The OnePlus 12R will be unveiled in China as the OnePlus Ace 3.

OnePlus 12 5G Specifications

The OnePlus 12 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus 12 5G runs Android 14 out of the box with OxygenOS 14 on top. The handset also packs a 5,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

For optics, the OnePlus 12 5G features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Sony LYTIA LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera is paired with a 64 MP Omnivision O64B telephoto-periscope sensor with a focal length of 70mm, OIS, and 3x optical zoom and a 48 MP Sony IMX581 ultrawide shooter.

All three cameras are fine-tuned in collaboration with Hasselblad. Up front, the OnePlus 12 5G opts for a 32 MP selfie camera. The OnePlus 12 5G sports a 6.82-inch 2K Pro-XDR BOE X1 OLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The panel features LTPO 3.0 technology for an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (1Hz - 120Hz) and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
